6. Ontario Falconry Centre – 18 minutes
Ontario Falconry Centre is dedicated to educating the community about (and introducing them to) a range of bird species, through up-closed demonstrations and activities. “Falconer of the Day” sessions allow visitors to learn about raptors for an hour. Visitors can also opt for a more in depth session in the apprenticeship program. All birds are produced from pure and natural breeding pairs, except hybrid birds, which come from artificial insemination.

7. Cedar Park Resort – 24 minutes
Cedar Park Resort is a fun family spot located north of Bowmanville. After opening in 1955, the park soon became a regular spot for local residents, who visit for camping, field trips and school trips. The resort is home to the largest swimming pool in the area, two children’s water-play areas, playground, mini golf, tennis, baseball, snack bar, shower facilities, picnic tables and shelters.

8. The Tyrone Mills Limited – 24 minutes
The Tyrone Mills Limited is a family run mill. The mill is open all year and is great spot to experience Canadian History in action. During the summer, visitors enjoy a gorgeous view from a nearby dam and get the chance to partake in regularly organized festivities. Asides from the range of great products, the mill also offers a goood sense of community connection.

9. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park – 25 Minutes
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly Mosport Park and Mosport International Raceway) is a multi-track motorsport venue located north of Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. A tourist favourite and a one time venue for the Nasar Truck race, the facility features a 2.459-mile (3.957 km), 10-turn road course; a 2.9 km advance driver and race driver training facility with a quarter-mile skid pad (Driver Development Centre) and a 1.5 km kart track (Mosport Kartways).

10. Long Sault Conservation Area – 25 minutes
The Long Sault Conservation Area is the largest conservation area owned and managed by the Central Lake of Ontario Conservation Authority. The area features 1650 acres or forest, plantation, and 18km of marked trails. The core wildlife area contains a diverse set of habitats, making it a popular spot for wildlife lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
